Sweet little sky-blue cottage is proof that good things come in small packages! Tucked back from the street with a quintessential white picket fence framing the front of the house, you can enjoy fragrant jasmine from the sun deck in spring and lovely north light all year round. The owners have loved and lavished attention on this wee house to include new siding, roof and windows in 2016 and then an interior renovation that followed. 2021 brought a new HVAC system and a gazebo for the backyard so you can start enjoying life in Lincolnville without embarking on any major projects.

Living room is up front and both bedrooms and bathroom open off this gathering space. Main bedroom faces the backyard with east and south exposures. Guest room is up front so bedrooms are split and both have easy access to the hall bath.

Eat-in kitchen is efficiently laid out along two walls so there is room for a dining table without getting in the way of the action. Of course, most of your meals will be outdoors in the gazebo but you need a backup plan in case it rains. Stackable washer/dryer are in the kitchen closet so multitasking is made easy.

Back door takes you to the yard where trees provide welcome shade in summer. Ample room for grilling and chilling and the fence will keep your 4-legged friends close by.

From the front door, it’s a 2-block walk to the Blue Hen – a favorite local breakfast and lunch place. Keep going north and you’ll be in the heart of downtown within 6 blocks. Or point yourself south and explore the Freedom Park overlooking the marsh at the very south end of Lincolnville. A peaceful passive park with marvelous chimes that make a musician out of everyone and you can enjoy a portion of the city skyline.

If small house living is on your wish list, we think you’ll be pleased. If you’re seeking a weekend/holiday pied-à-terre – you will find yourself taking more time off. Finally, if you’d like to operate a short-term rental (it’s one rental event per week), this would be easy and very desirable. We’re happy to fill you in on what you need to know. A soft driveway holds one car now but it’s easy to expand so you can accommodate two. The holidays are almost upon us and St Augustine is a magical place to enjoy the myriad of activities.
