St George Street Cottage Duo

On the southern edge of our residential Historic District, you find tree-lined streets, sidewalks and a rich array of architectural gems dating back to 1900. A genuine front porch neighborhood, St George St has a timeless appeal and most welcoming ambiance. 315 and 315 1/2 St George St are on the southern edge of the District. Dating from 1920 and 1998 respectively, these two delightful 1/1 cottages share a deliciously private antique brick courtyard with ample off-street parking in tandem.

Front porch of the 835SF main house opens to a sun room which has served as dining room, office, library over the years. Large living room full of natural light is on the left. Polished wood floors, high ceilings, corner cabinets and a coquina fireplace grace this generous room. With space for 2 seating areas or shared living and dining, you can arrange it to suit your style.

Kitchen runs across the back of the house. A banquette with storage underneath just needs a table and casual dining is ready to jump into action. Fully equipped, this galley can handle whatever you wish and it’s just a few steps to the large covered porch where al fresco gatherings will be a regular event.

Bedroom runs along the south side and is accessed from front room or kitchen – a quiet retreat after a happy day of exploring your new town! Bathroom is tucked between bedroom and kitchen.

On your way to the 2nd cottage, pause to admire the shady courtyard and colorful contrast of vintage bricks and soft white palette of the houses. The guest quarters will not lack company! Living, dining and kitchen are open to each other for easy conversation. Bedroom and bath are tucked in the back and laundry is in the kitchen closet. A brick path leads to small patio for the guests.

This lovely residential duo presents a number of options – a weekend/holiday pied-à-terre, a house to live in and another for remote work, a home for in-laws or longer-term paying guests (minimum 30 day stays). Sweet downtown living!
